Initially a self portrait assignment for a course taken at the Savannah College of Art and Design, ExEgEsIs quickly proved itself a worthy experimental film that showcases a very unique aesthetic approach. Set to the song Cryosleep by the Swedish band Machinae Supremacy, the film pushes the envelope of what is possible with analog and digital effects. The technique illustrated in this film incorporates the manipulation of television feedback cycles and the many various effects that can be achieved by subtly altering the different variables involved. The visuals can be quite intense at times, and some viewers even complain of experiencing minor seizures while viewing the film. (No joke.)
